2nd Saturday Fundraising Party
March 14th @ Beach Hut Deli in Midtown
Greetings, everyone!
As many of you know by now, our good friend Stephen Shirley has been battling Hodgkins lymphoma for over two years. Stephen’s doctors have treated him with several different forms of chemotherapy, and he is currently undergoing a stem cell transplant that will be followed by radiation and a second stem cell transplant. Unfortunately, none of these treatments have yet eradicated the cancer that is in Stephens’s body.
Stephen is trying to get into M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. A hospital on the cutting edge of cancer treatment, M.D. Anderson is having amazing results with cancer patients with difficult cases like Stephen’s. The treatments at M.D. Anderson are extremely expensive. Stephen will need $40,000 just to start treatment and the total bill for treatment will be much, much higher.
Enter the crew at Beach Hut Deli in midtown: Stephens’s friends Kerner and Kristen Breaux, co-owners of the deli, are opening their doors to host a fundraiser for Stephen on Saturday, March 14th! Please drop by the Deli on the evening of the 14th and help Stephen get the treatment he so desperately needs. Kerner, AKA ColonelB, will be spinning music, tasty beer and sandwiches will be on hand, and you’ll be able to donate the cash that will help make a difference in the lives of Stephen and his family.
